Colorado Springs Exercise Helps Cope with Pain and Aging

"If you don't keep going, you're gonna die." Now, there’s a title to a research paper! The Chiropractic TRUhealthDR was even taken back a bit, but it’s true. No matter your age, your pain, your life plan, we all have to keep going forward! This is never more real for middle- to older-age Colorado Springs back and neck pain sufferers. Fortunately, The Chiropractic TRUhealthDR is here to help.

We all start looking for anti-aging benefits at a certain age! One group of researchers wrote that regular exercise has multi-system anti-aging effects and recommended more research to acquire knowledge of just how molecular mediators of exercise benefits function in older folks rather than just looking for pharmaceuticals. (1) The Chiropractic TRUhealthDR wholeheartedly agrees! Walking is amazing! This a terrific message for all Colorado Springs pain sufferers!

Walk each day with a goal of 7000 steps. Why? Research. 2,110 black and white men and women and their steps-per-day counts were studied. They wore an accelerometer from 2005 to 2006 and then were followed for a mean of 10.8 years. Their stats were examined in 2020 and 2021 to see what, if any, association was made between steps-per-day and all-mortality death risk. This study was a portion of the larger CARDIA (Coronary Artery Risk Development in Young Adults) study. Steps-taken-per-day were described as “low” (less than 7000), “moderate” (7000-9999) and “high” (more than 10,000). Stepping intensity – stepping rate – played a role, too. Moderate/high step rate was linked to a reduced risk of mortality in black and white women and men in middle-age who took 7000 steps or more a day compared with those who took less. (2) The Chiropractic TRUhealthDR witnesses how walking helps – 7000 steps or not – and urges Colorado Springs chiropractic patients to take walks as best they can. Any walk will do!

How do most Colorado Springs back pain patients cope with chronic low back pain? Some of the things people may say or feel are these:

  • I feel helpless because nothing works.
  • I feel down and depressed.
  • I distantly wish for an end to it.
  • I accept the reality of my pain.
  • The pain stays, I keep going.

What about you? There’s no proper answer. The Chiropractic TRUhealthDR sees them all! The Chiropractic TRUhealthDR is by everyone’s side. We meet each back pain patient – old or young, active or inactive – where each one is. We create a treatment plan together. The researchers who formulated the above basic 5 categories of how patients manage chronic low back pain acknowledged how pain impacts life. (3) So does The Chiropractic TRUhealthDR.
