“Do I have to exercise?”
“Yes, you should if you want to feel
better faster and prevent pain,“ your Colorado Springs
chiropractic replies.
“How much time do I have to spend exercising each day?”
“Not long, just properly,” The Chiropractic TRUhealthDR
suggests.
Exercise is not every Colorado Springs back pain or neck
pain patient’s ’thing’. The Chiropractic TRUhealthDR understands.
Exercise is also so key to our back and neck pain
patient’s recovery and future prevention of the pain. We are with our Colorado Springs
chiropractic patients every step of the way to make
the most of the exercise effort so that it results in pain prevention
and relief.
OPTIMAL NECK PAIN EXERCISE GUIDES
Neck pain sufferers realize how pain
may reduce their ability to look around
comfortably. Such neck pain patients were assessed for
their cervical range of motion and pain intensity with a flexion-rotation test.
They were then directed to do a 20-minutes cervical spine
exercise session. 50% of them were then also
treated with manual therapy applied to the C0-C1 and C2-C3 cervical spine
levels. Those who performed the exercise program and were treated did significantly
better in terms of range of motion, pain intensity reduction,
and the flexion-rotation test. (1) Another study revealed
that the optimal stretching time of cervical muscles in patients with chronic
myofascial pain syndrome was 30 seconds as opposed to 15
or 60 seconds or no stretching. This allowed the most
benefit to pain intensity reduction while minimizing
any adverse effects on neural function of the affected
nerve roots and central nervous system. (2) The Chiropractic TRUhealthDR always stresses
that the appropriate exercise done in the right
way does not have to take long to be useful!
Additionally, exercise places some control in the
hands of its sufferer since exercise can be performed anytime.
OPTIMAL LOW BACK PAIN EXERCISE GUIDES
Incorporating exercise training into the
multidisciplinary treatment of non-specific chronic low back pain makes
sense. This type of back pain involves so many
people worldwide and is a primary
source of disability. Proper exercise training transitions the back
pain sufferer to self-management. Recently, researchers posed
that pain intensity and disability - and even mental health issues
in such back pain patients - were enhanced with choices
like resistance and aerobic exercise while Pilates, resistance exercise, yoga,
and stabilization exercise. (3) The Chiropractic TRUhealthDR agrees! Exercise is invaluable
in so many ways.
